Seventy-four hot air balloons landed at the former Cadbury’s chocolate factory in Keynsham yesterday morning, breaking a Bristol International Balloon Fiesta record for the most balloons landing in one place.
As is the custom at Somerdale, each balloonist landing in the grounds donated £10 to the Help For Heroes charity.
“It was a great sight to see so many balloons taking off and keeping together in the air, making the landing as prolific as the launch,” said Fiesta display director Clive Bailey
“The factory has long been a friend to balloonists and a popular landing space, on account of its spacious flat grounds.”
