Westbury Park and streets around Coldharbour Road no longer form part of the proposed residents’ parking schemes in west Bristol.
Redland has undergone a significant boundary change in the latest plans. The area has been reduced in size, with the outer boundary for the scheme now running across Redland Green.
According to the new map (below), homes on the south side of Redland Hill in the Cotham North zone will be included in the scheme but homes on the other side of the road left out.
However, on the periphery of the Redland zone, both sides of Cranbrook Road will be included on the scheme’s outer edge.
Seems like someone’s successfully lobbied the council for Redland but not so on the west side of Whiteladies road! As a resident of Apsley Road, I genuinely can’t see the need for resident’s parking up that far, unless this is simply revenue generation for the Council of course?!
Everyone knows that Southville/Bedminster is the daily car park for thousands of central office workers and yet it’s been removed?
If the motive of this is to reduce the number of people driving into the centre…why have they skipped their primary car park?
