I don't see why it is too soon. What is the agreed upon time that has to pass before people can talk about tragic events?
There is no reason that the media should not publicise his innocence comprehensively given the witch hunt they led.
Also, whilst deeply distressing for those affected, Ms Yeates is never going to be un-murdered, so her remaining so is a moot point.
