This year’s Encounters Short Film and Animation Festival was officially launched in Bristol last night in the big top at Creative Common with a sneak preview of this year’s competition, plus the entries from 0117 Hour Digital Short Challenge.
Before the festival proper kicks off on September 17, there are a series of fringe events ranging from an evening of animated shorts tonight at the Looking Glass to a screening of Battleship Potemkin next week on the Christmas Steps.
A solar-powered outdoor cinema will also be popping-up at St George’s Park on September 7, Victoria Park on September 14 and Greville Smyth Park on September 21.
