Bollards in the shape of a blue pencil complete with rubber on top have appeared outside Millpond Primary School in Baptist Mills.

The bollards can be found on the Waverley Street side of the school, whose playing fields back onto the M32.

They are the first of their kind to be installed in Bristol and have already been attracting lots of attention; the city council on Twitter proclaiming that they “might possibly be the best street furniture design ever”.
