Filton Avenue may have lost Real Brazil at number 518, but it has gained The Brazilian Lounge at number 229.
This corner of Horfield is obviously the place to be for residents of South America’s largest country.
The Brazilian Lounge is both a shop and a cafe, specialising in food that is both gluten- and wheat-free.
And it joins an ever-growing list of world cuisines available in Bristol.
The Brazilian Lounge, 229 Filton Avenue, Horfield, Bristol, BS7 0AY
Try the food at The Brazilian Lounge. It might seem a bit different to English tastes but – try it – guaranteed you’ll like it. These guys are working so hard to kick off their business they deserve at least one visit.
If youve never eaten brazilian food before your in from a treat. its not posh or pretentious at all, just humble honest food. The Feijoada is my personal favorite, its the brazilian nation dish of rice, black beans and pork. They have exchanged the more authentic pork cuts for those a british person will find more palletable.
The menu also changes daily so you know everything is fresh, more that can be said for any british restaurant at this price range. Two people eat for £32 and we ordered way too much food. Compare that to the standard chain restaurantin the uk (e.g. TGI Fridays) that cooks frozen already prepared food and its a bargin.
Tip – try the Cavasa Chips
