The Tobacco Factory Theatre has become Tobacco Factory Theatres.
A subtle change yes, but one which reflects the increased emphasis on and importance of the Brewery Theatre as well as other areas other than the Tobacco Factory building itself.
“The last 12 months it felt like this theatre matured,” said Tobacco Factory Theatres’ Ali Robertson.
“Working with a range of inspiring partners we made some of the best work we’ve ever produced here in Bristol and we exported it around the country as well; gaining an Olivier nomination and producing hits in London, Edinburgh and elsewhere.
“Next year looks set, dare I say it, to be even better.”
Robertson said that the “beloved name of Tobacco Factory Theatre was struggling to cope”.
He added: “We are making the small change to Tobacco Factory Theatres so we can better describe all the work we do.”
