Authentic Middle Eastern cuisine is now available from a kiosk in Castle Park.
Edna’s Kitchen is owned by Edna Yeffet Summerell, formally head chef of St Stephen’s Cafe a few hundred yards away the other side of Corn Street.
When I visited on Sunday morning, the menu included falafel with chickpeas in a pitta; sabigh, a roast aubergine salad; and eija, green herby frittata in a pitta, all priced at £4.
There will also be daily soups and a salad bar, hot and cold drinks (with coffee from Clifton Coffee) and homemade cakes.
Evening orders for take-home meals can be made before 3pm and collected from the kiosk.
