Bristol’s most prestigious art gallery, the Royal West of England Academy on Queen’s Road, has been deemed too small to host next week’s exhibition of Gromit Unleashed sculptures.
Instead, the exhibition will now be held next door in what used to be Habitat:
Organisers say the former shop has a larger capacity to house the line-up of decorated Gromits and manage the high volume of numbers expected to visit the exhibition.
The Greatest Dog Show on Earth will be at the former Habitat between Wednesday and Sunday, open from 9am to 6pm from Wednesday to Friday, open late until 7pm on Saturday and from 11am to 5pm on Sunday.
Entry for adults will be £4 each, with a concession for 12 to 18 year olds at £2 each. Children aged up to 11 can enter for free.
Visitors to the exhibition will have the opportunity to place a sealed bid prior to the Gromit Unleashed auction, taking place on October 3. Bidders must also pre-register to bid at the auction at auction@gromitunleashed.org.uk
