The Royal Marines Reserve Bristol headquarters in Clifton may be surplus to requirements thanks to recent military reforms, but the troops still stationed there remain committed to upholding standards.

Last night was no exception, as in front of Bristol Lord Mayor Faruk Choudhury and Lord-Lieutenant Mary Prior, the regimental band put their best foot forward on what may be one of their last ever parades.

Plenty of military marches were played, as well as more familiar tunes including Abide With Me and Rule Britannia, in a spectacle that drew quite a crowd to Litfield Place.
