He has climbed dozens of trees in Bristol and 10 other countries, climbed with 43 others in one tree, interviewed a belly dancer, actors in character, a class of nine-year-olds, a woman who needed and then got a heart transplant, professors, artists, musicians and carpenters.
Henrik Dahle has even climbed the Christmas tree in London’s Trafalgar Square as part of a year of climbing a different tree every day.
And now the former Bedminster, Southville and Cotham dweller, who most recently lived on a barge in the city centre before moving away from Bristol, is seeking crowd funding to publish his adventure as a book.
“I spent a year climbing a tree every day, recording conversations with over 80 inspiring people I invited to climb with me, on diverse subjects, taking thousands of photos and keeping a diary,” Henrik says.
“It’s now time to turn this adventure into a 200-page full colour book. A kind of chaotic, creative manifesto for positive change.”
