Planning and design consultancy Barton Willmore will be the title sponsors of this year’s Bristol International Balloon Fiesta.

Since a main sponsor could not be found, a “100 club” was set up for businesses with an annual membership fee of £2,000. Each year, one company becomes the festival’s title sponsor, with three other companies winning sponsorship of the night glows and Red Arrows display.

Barton Willmore, based on Victoria Street, were drawn out of a hat last night by Lord Mayor Faruk Choudhury at an event for the 100 Club members at Ashton Court Mansion.

This year’s Balloon Fiesta takes place between August 8 and 11, with highlights including the all-female Breitling Wingwalkers, a Spitfire memorial flight, RAF Typhoon display team and of course the special shapes, night glows and Red Arrows.
