Campaigners in Easton hoping to save Felix Road Adventure Playground have until the end of this week to get the 3,500 signatures needed to trigger a debate at a full meeting of Bristol City Council.

There has been an adventure playground on Felix Road for more than 40 years, but its future is now in threat due to recent changes in the provision of the council’s youth and play services.

The petition, which can be found online here, asks:

• that the services provided are guaranteed in the immediate and long-term future;
• that the playground and the building on the site be protected as a play space for children and young people;
• and that there is at least the minimum provision of being open five days a week.
