Monday – July 8: Wimbledon on the big screen, Millennium Square
Following the success of last year’s trial, Wimbledon will be once again broadcast on the BBC Big Screen. Bring your own strawberries and cream.

Tuesday: Kitchen Table opens, Worrall Road
Clifton’s newest cafe opens today in what used to be Max’s. Free coffee is being offered on opening day in a cafe which promises “delicious home cooked food made with love”.
Wednesday: Bristol Chamber Choir, Arnos Vale Cemetery
A free event to mark the Bristol Chamber Choir’s 175 years, with music written for Elizabeth I, Anne, Victoria and Elizabeth II, adding some pieces dedicated to the choir.
Thursday: National Team Poetry Slam Final, Bierkeller
Teams featuring 20 poets from Bristol, Bath, London, Cardiff and Birmingham come together to compete in the final of the first ever National Team Poetry Slam.
Friday – July 6: Ping!, locations across Bristol
Last summer it was gorillas. This summer it’s table tennis tables at locations including Castle Park and Bristol Zoo, as well as further afield in Blaise Castle and Knowle West.
Saturday: Bristol Bike Night
Raising money for charity Above+Beyond, Bristol Bike Night will see bicycles take to the streets for Bristol’s first ever moonlit cycle, setting off at 11pm for a 100km ride.
Saturday: Old Market Festival
Plenty of bands playing at the Stag & Hounds, Volunteer Tavern, Gin Palace, The Phoenix, The Eagle and BBB at this all-day free event.
Saturday & Sunday: Grill Stock, Lloyds Amphitheatre
The chilli-eating contest at last year’s inaugural Grill Stock was a highlights of last year. Returning for a second appearance, Grill Stock also features meat, meat and meat.
