Hooray for Pieminister, Bristol’s favourite purveyors of fine pies, who have had two bits of very exciting news come out of their Stokes Croft headquarters in the last few days. (If you haven’t yet experienced the delights of Pieminister, go now, to their restaurants in Stokes Croft or St Nic’s Market)

First, they go and bring out mini pies, handily called PieMINIsters, in three flavours:

Moo Moo (beef steak, gravy, herbs, vegetables)

Cheeky Chick (free range chicken, Wiltshire cured ham, garden peas, Cheddar cheese)

Mini Amigo (butternut squash, tomato, coriander, beans, chilli)

The new mini pies can be bought at the Stokes Croft and St Nic’s Market restaurants and are also available for delivery from Ocado.

Then, they only go and pimp an ice cream van.

Some lucky Pieminister staff are leaving Bristol in the pie van today, so long as it starts, and taking it to Cardiff and then Nottingham, Machester, Oxford, Brighton and a whole heap of other cities this winter to spread the message of pie love.
