The votes have been counted and verified, and these are the top 10 best cafes in Bristol according to the number of hits they have received on this site since Bristol Culture was unleashed onto the world wide web six months ago. Drum roll please.
1) The Undercroft Cafe, Redcliffe - “Hidden away down some stairs by St Mary Redcliffe Church’s main entrance, this cafe is quite a find”
2) Grounded, Redfield - “Ever since discovering it, Grounded has been one of my favourite cafes in Bristol”
3) Chickpea, Cotham - “It’s not large inside Chickpea… but it is a very fun place with an uncluttered feel”
4) Royce Rolls, St Nicholas Market – “Royce Rolls is a true gem at the heart of St Nic’s”
5) Azuza, Broadmead - “A very normal cafe in a very special building, lacking any kind of character of its own despite its historic surroundings”
6) Cafe Kondi, Henleaze - “The food menu is an interesting cross between a typical greasy spoon and upmarket cafe”
7) Caffe Clifton, Clifton – “It is posh, but with no airs and graces. This is a fun type of posh”
8 ) The Downs Tea Room, Clifton - “One of Bristol’s most picturesque cafes… the cafe to go to when the sun is shining”
9) Mocha Mocha, Kingsdown – “Its coffees and in particular its mochas are a delight and come in some wondrous varieties”
10) Cafe Lazz, Bishopston – “More similar to a bar in downtown Ankara than a cafe in Bishopston”
Good to see none of the Lounges is on the list. Over-rated, over-priced, arsey staff and they can’t even cook you bacon and eggs.
a lot of great cafes have been left out like cafe RONAK, old book shop and at the well. they all have great drinks and yummy food especially ronak with its bakc garden.
Cafe RONAK!! Thumb up!!
