A peculiar character with a six-gallon hat and a past shrouded in mystery, who has recently fetched up in Bristol, is publishing his – or her? – first published work today.
Stark Holborn is the author of Nunslinger, a new 12-part digital serial from Hodder & Stoughton.
“It’s not every day a Wild West enigma slams a bottle of Jack down on your desk and starts telling you what happens to the human brain when shot at close range with a shotgun,” says Ed Wilson, Holborn’s agent.
“But when that day comes, you know you’ve got to grab it with both hands.”
Nunslinger is set in 1864 as Sister Thomas Josephine is on her way from St Louis, Missouri, to Sacramento, California.
The first three books published today feature a cast of characters including varmints, lowlifes, cowboys, drifters and desperados.
