Have you seen Gravity yet?

If so, did you notice the red, white and blue parachute? What you probably didn’t notice was that this parachute was made in Bristol by Cameron Balloons of Bedminster.

Built using the company’s aerospace technology skills, the parachute featured in some key sequences in the film set in outer space but was filmed above a reservoir near Shepperton Studios in Surrey.

Cameron Balloons were commissioned to make the parachute by acclaimed modeller and propmaker Pierre Bohanna (Harry Potter, Star Wars, Sunshine) on behalf of Warner Bros.
