It’s the closing weekend of The Looking Glass this weekend.

The former pub at 39-40 High Street was a disused and dilapidated council-owned space which was brought back to life under the former Capacity Project.

Their building may now have been sold to new tenants, but its temporary occupants are now looking for bigger premises to continue a project which has seen everything from theatre to art exhibitions to live music hosted, and a bar with a speakeasy feel.

The final weekend today and tomorrow promises “a performative, musical and visual journey that will feast your senses!”

The farewell celebration will feature a wide range of artists, with a grand finale aerial fire show on the front of the building.
