Day of the Dead at Room 212

Bristol artists have offered a bright and creative interpretation of the Mexican Day of the Dead Festival at Room 212 on the Gloucester Road.

The exhibition opens today and runs until November 3.

Have you ever looked at Jeff's twitter feed where he is relentlessly requesting guest list from bands he doesn't even know? And this includes festival tickets. Being an obsessive music fan is no excuse for blagging to that degree. There are plenty of people who go to as many gigs as Jeff and PAY for tickets. I get to gigs early enough to stand at the front however in a small venue sometimes that's not possible, no matter how early you get there. Have been to gigs upstairs at the Thekla where Jeff has stood right in front of the artist performing, obscuring the view for pretty much half the room. Considerate? As for all the bands really love Jeff and are happy to give him guest list? Really? There are plenty who don't and who aren't. But feel obliged to sort g.list out because they know the bad publicity they will get if they don't after it gets mentioned on social media. Bitter? Well that's quite an assumption to make.

You know why all the bands love Jeff? Cause his heart's actually in it. He always dances, he always gets right up to the front, and it makes them feel more appreciated. Plus he's a wealth of obscure musical knowledge.

With an attitude like that, you could learn a lot from Jeff. It's hardly Jeff's fault that he's tall! Does that mean he's not allowed to go down the front and dance in your bitter world? He doesn't occupy the whole of the front of the stage, and if you are that concerned then get to the gig earlier and secure your own place at the front. As for getting on the guest list, it's always been my experience that artists love Jeff and are only too happy to have him at their gigs. Beans On Toast even has a song complaining that Jeff never goes to his gigs.
