My Dog Sighs will be leaving his art around Bristol next month as part of Free Art Friday – an event in which artists leave their creations on the streets for the unsuspecting public to find and give a home.
‘Bristol Can’ will see drink and spray cans twisted, crushed and hand painted with faces:
On November 1, clues will be revealed online as to the location of the cans, including some exclusive clues here on Bristol Culture.
My Dog Sighs is taking to the streets of Bristol to promote a new show at the Upfest gallery from November 1 to 24.
Here he is placing art around London before a show earlier this year:
In addition to the free art, My Dog Sighs will leave 100 cans with his design applied as a sticker throughout the week before the show. One numbered can pulled from a hat on the show’s opening night will win a hand painted can valued at more than £600.
My Dog Sighs said: “My focus for Bristol Can is using my association of Bristol’s street art scene as well as a tongue in cheek nod to cider drinking synonymous with the West Country, using empty cans to create new pieces of art for the show.”
