Simple Things festival is back for its third year, taking over 10 stages across Bristol today – and not only the usual suspects either.
The former Crown Court plays host to Crazylegs’ fifth birthday, and another court room Studio 89, with revellers getting the chance to party in authentic judge, jury and witness boxes.
DJ Jazzy Jeff, Jon Hopkins and Bristol’s very own DJ Cheeba play at the old firestation, where the party goes on until 5am.
Still in what is now known as The Island, deserted police cells will be where the Planet Mu showcase takes place, with DJ Rashad, Misty Conditions and more.
The Island courtyard is being taken over by Shapes, while Alfresco Disco will be in a secret location.
Then there is the Colston Hall, with every inch taken over by the festival from the foyer to the rooftop terrace. From 1pm to 1am, the main auditorium will see the likes of Nicholas Jarr, These New Puritans and the Mercury-nominated Portico Quartet (below).
