Bristol Art Prize exhibition

The Bristol Art Prize is a new competition which saw artists each allocated one of 34 locations around the city and asked to produce at least one work inspired by what they saw there.

More than 200 paintings from 114 artists make up the exhibition, which runs from today until October 30 at the Guildhall Arts Centre on Small Street.

A top prize of £5,000 will be awarded to the painting that the judges consider to best capture the spirit of Bristol in 2013.
