New outdoor gym on the Downs

Please do not be alarmed. An alien spacecraft has not landed on the Downs.

This is in fact a new outdoor gym, located next to the footpath between Ladies Mile and Worrall Road which will be officially unveiled today by Bristol Lord Mayor Faruk Chaudhury.

The equipment is free to use and works by suspension training, with five different exercise stations featuring hundreds of energetic possibilities.

The 3-way temporary traffic lights on the Smeaton Road Bridge are causing the traffic issues when Avon Crescent is closed due to flooding. The bridge has now been strengthened and The Council should now reinstate the road as two way. 1800 people have signed the petition so far. This is not only residents.

I'm with you, Harold. THis New foyer was a total waste of time and money. I still remember the first time I went to the colston hall after the "refurb". Lovely shiny new foyer then on into the hall and it still smells like a musty old shit house!. I would have thought they could have at lease bought a few cans of paint and a can of Febreeze!.....

I wonder if their prices are going to stay astra-fucking-nomical? We make a point of bringing a hip flask these days as £15.75 for two drinks still reverberates in our ears from the last time we drank there at a show...
