A grave complete with cross and flowers has appeared on the plinth formally occupied by Gromit Unleashed sculpture Patch on Clifton Hill.

There is even a lament to “Poor Patch BIP (bark in peace)”:

You have gone to the kennel in the sky
No more fun so cry, cry, cry
Oh my, you poor poor Gromit
Whoever did this to you just makes me want to vomit!

Patch was damaged earlier this week and is currently having some repair work. He is expected to the return to the trail in the next few days.
