New facade for BRI unveiled

‘Veil’ by Nieto Sobejano, an architectural office in Madrid, has been chosen as the winner of a competition to design a new façade for the BRI.

One of the ugliest buildings in Bristol will now attempt to make a more positive first impression on both patients and visitors.

The design involves re-cladding the building and creating a small open garden and is much the safest option from the six shortlisted designs.
