Laura Hart’s cherry bakewells have swiftly become one of my new favourite treats from Hart’s Bakery.
Encased in thick pastry is cherry compote and frangipane, topped with a bit of icing, with a cherry on top – a real cherry not the glacé variety, and with the stalk still in place.
