Drinking around the back of Bristol Temple Meads is at least for the next few months no longer confined to a Wetherspoon’s pub.
Popping up in shipping containers as part of Creative Common, The Goods Yard can be found on a raised decking area on what is officially called Isambard Walk.
Bath Ales are well represented with Gem, Bounders and Dark Side; while there is also almost the full range of Bristol Beer Factory beers in bottles, including Saison, Ultimate Stout and Vintage 2012.
When I visited last Friday evening for the opening night of Bianco in the nearby big top, a DJ was spinning tunes in one corner and the end of the working work was being celebrated in traditional fashion.
The Goods Yard has just become Bristol’s coolest new bar.
