Following the hands in the air glowsticks of Love Saves The Day on Saturday, it was a more chilled vibe at Love Saves Sunday, attracting both an older and younger crowd, with buggies being pushed around past Bristol’s most fashionable mature raver – the perma-tanned gentleman with a penchant for shiny hot pants.
Castle Park is perfect as a self-contained venue and it’s fascinating how such a familiar part of central Bristol can be transformed into a fully functioning festival site, familiar sights the same but different soundtracked by bursts of mellow house and later in the evening by headliners Chic featuring the incomparable Nile Rogers.
