The Brunel Mile, created as part of the Brunel 200 celebrations in 2006, is a direct pedestrian link from Bristol Temple Meads to the ss Great Britain. There is currently much discussion thanks to Redcliffe Forum about what can be done to improve Redcliffe Way, which forms part of the route.
Its conclusion has now almost been completed thanks to the partial opening of a new walkway between Canon’s Way and the ss Great Britain:
