Bristol Eats was certainly getting Bristol eating at its first outing in the Lakota car park. Some of Bristol’s best street food vendors were present including Meat & Bread and Vee Double Moo, with drink provided by the nightclub next door and music by a DJ.

This will now be a regular Thursday evening event with a regularly changing roster of vendors, with other locations in the pipeline and one other confirmed booking so far at the Big Green Week Market on St Stephen’s Street on June 22.

As a collective, the businesses who make up Bristol Eats are an ambitious bunch. But the turnout yesterday at their debut event must have surpassed even their wildest expectations, with queues pretty much constant at most of the businesses, which were selling everything from bagels to whisky-infused ice cream.
