Lady Nade is playing with her band The Silhouettes at the Left Bank on Thursday, April 25. A mainstay on Bristol’s live music scene, Venue wrote that “Lady Nade’s voice has a powerful authority that belies her young age, a voice that speaks of lost cellars and smoky jazz”.
Here are Lady Nade’s top-five Bristol favourites:
The harbourside
“Not only famous for attracting thousands of people esp during its festivals (including Harbour, Brisfest, Refugee and Jazz & Blues), you have cinema (Watershed), gallery (Anorfini) and lovely views all around you. When strolling across our famous horn bridge (Pero’s Bridge) you have the view of M Shed , historic for telling us the story of Bristol; and on the other side the Cascade Steps, a lovely place to sit in the summer (when the water fountains are off, obviously!). Regular ferries can take you on a nice journey along the Floating Harbour; stopping off at the Grain Barge for a drink above deck is delightful.”
The Coronation Tap
“Not only providing Bristol with its legendary menu of cider, there’s also no better place to be than the Cori Tap if you want to enjoy high quality live music.”

Zazu’s Kitchen
“One of the most amazing places to eat in Bristol, whose aims are to provide high quality food and low cost. Not only an evening place to dine, they also provide breakfust, lunch and supper and have just opened there second site on North Street to accompany their other restaurant on Gloucester Road. Yum!”

The Relaxation Centre
“A great place in Clifton to wind down, be in the spa and beautiful garden, take part in a yoga class or have a nice holistic massage. Great after a long day’s work, to treat a friend or for a pampering day.”

Brandon Hill (below)
“Cabot Tower is old and monumental, with a staircase inside allowing you to climb to the top from where you get one of the best views of Bristol and the docks. Then there are the gardens, with hidden ponds and really nice paths for walking. Brandon Hill is a stone’s throw from hectic Park Street but is so very peaceful. In the trees, the birds seem to drown the busy city out. It’s also a lovely place to have a picnic.”
