The Bastard Pound

It’s not a forgery but the Bastard Pound is a rather good imitation of the Bristol Pound, with some subtle differences. Made for Bristol band The Bastard Sunz, their own version of the currency paints Bristol in a less flattering light than the notes in official circulation.

So there is the bus driver ramming a cyclist outside the Magistrates’ Court, bumbling Bristol sailor Tony Bullimore standing on top of his capsized boat, slaves packed on board a slave ship, the Stokes Croft riots and a suicide from the Suspension Bridge:
