Pub of the week? You have to be kidding.

The Brunel must be among the worst pubs in the south of England, let alone Bristol. Anywhere with that many fights kicking-off on any night of the week should be closed down. And the illuminated glass chiller cabinets inside with dusty bottles of fake, sweet, Blossom Hill Rose make it look like Jim Bowen's nan's house.

I've lived in cities all over the country, from Newcastle and Manchester to London and Oxford, and by far Bristol has the best pubs of all of them. The Brunel, however, is not one of them.
