Allotments on land earmarked for arena

Bristol has not got an arena yet, but one corner of the nine acres of land that the now defunct South West Regional Development Agency spent £13m purchasing and clearing in preparation for the arena which never arrived, is starting to be turned into allotments.

The land near Temple Meads off Bath Road is now owned by the Homes and Community Agency (HCA), who want to get businesses such as the BBC moving into the newly created Enterprise Zone as well as build that long-awaited arena.

But until that happens, you may as well grow some tomatoes.

One Response so far.
