Lahloo Pantry is celebrating its first birthday this weekend with the launch of a larger breakfast offering, an all-day brunch menu and longer opening hours. Customers who come into the cafe today wearing their pyjamas (this is Clifton Village) will enjoy brunch free of charge.
The new breakfast menu includes banana bread with maple butter, sourdough toast with homemade marmalade, jam, curds and honey, and homemade breakfast muffins
The all-day brunch and lunch offerings have such deliciousness as scrambled eggs with chorizo, French toast with autumn compote and mascarpone, and Welsh rarebit made with Lahloo’s own Amber tea, served with homemade tomato chili jam.
Lahloo founder Kate Gover has recently moved to Bath, so perhaps another Lahloo Pantry could be opening there in the not too distant future. For now, enjoy the original Lahloo Pantry, which in 2011 was named as Bristol Culture’s cafe of the year.
Kate said: “For lunch we will have our usual but with more hearty choices and daily changing additions like Somerset chorizo sausage rolls. All of the above mentioned jams, chutneys etc will be available alongside all our fabulous loose leaf teas of course!”
