Drawn in Bristol calendar

Familiar and not so familiar views of Bristol are given new twists in the work of illustrator collective Drawn in Bristol, whose latest exhibition is currently on display in The Glass Room in the Colston Hall foyer, with the prints for sale at the pop-up shop Paper Scissors Stone in Quakers Friars.

Areas of the city that feature in the 12 limited edition two-colour screen prints include Queen Square, Arnos Vale cemetery, Turbo Island and the Christmas Steps.

One piece names the shops along North Street in Bedminster, while another imagines the creatures lurking in the Floating Harbour underneath the ss Great Britain (below).

All the designs will be screen-printed and collated together to form a 2013 calendar.

The artists in the exhibition, at the Colston Hall until the end of September, are Alexia Tucker, Ben Goodman, Bethan Buss, Carys Ink, Chris Dickason, Dave Bain, Katy Christianson, Martha Ford, Naomi Hocking, Paul Roberts, Sarah Barnes and Slumber.
