I agree with Eleanorjane. We went here today for lunch, only to find they don’t actually serve proper lunch food ie pizzas, fish and chips etc, till 2pm! They serve lighter lunch stuff eg scotch eggs and quiche before that but had run out of that by 12.30! I’d love to make more use of the place as it’s very conveniently located for us, but I’m not sure when we’d actually manage to get something to eat there at a time we’d like to eat, apart from an overpriced cake mid-morning! Very badly thought-through if you ask me.

I wasn’t that impressed with them, actually. I got all excited as they’re very close to our house but we won’t be going again as we found long slow queues for service, fairly pricey food in smallish portions and they’d run out of two of our first choices of food. Also didn’t like the very large wooden platters food was served on. They were obviously trying hard to please and had a lot of the right elements, but we’ll stick to our favourite Arnolfini for now.

This building used to be the Bristol Land Rover Centre for many years. It was originally built as the Old Gaol Stables and designed by the Govenor. Its a nice job thats been done transforming it but it has made the inside feel smaller than it once was.

Working from home lots at the moment so can’t walk past, do they do takeaway coffee etc? Ideal location to given the numbers that walk to work along there
