There are dozens of home bakers across Bristol who make cupcakes to sell from their own kitchens. Until now, however, there has never been a shop dedicated to cupcakes. Lilly & Boo’s Cupcakery is that first shop, with cupcakes made fresh every morning and served alongside a selection of teas and coffee.
Cupcakes in many different flavours cost £2.20 each and on a brief visit today I can vouch for their deliciousness. I especially recommend the white chocolate variety.
Lilly & Boo’s, occupying what used to be Deli Delish on Cotham Hill, only opened yesterday and is so new that there is still no sign above the front door and the old Deli Delish menu still on the blackboard behind the bar.
It is a brave business opening in a crowded market, and a lot of cupcakes must need to be sold every day to break even. But with cupcakes that taste this good, Lilly & Boo’s should soon be tempting anybody with a sweet tooth.
Lilly & Boos, 2 Cotham Hill, Cotham, Bristol.

If a business like this can establish a niche in the current economic climate it can but thrive when the good times return.
If had cupcakes there 3 days ago and they are really nice they are doing really well and when i go back I’ll buy lots more I recommend the (new York cheesecake) thanks
Just had tea and cupcakes but were really disappointed. The milk was added to the cup while the tea bag was in the cup so it never really brewed properly. The cakes didn’t taste very fresh. The tables weren’t clean – we won’t be going back
I was visiting a friend in Bristol and came across this shop, from the outside looked very much like a cupcake shop that used to be in Cardiff, after close inspection realised that the same people ran it ( under a different name though, the shop in cardiff was called sugarswirlz) Bought cupcakes from their other shop and to be perfectly honest they were very disappointing for the amount of money they were charging. Hard as if stale. The shop in Cardiff closed very sudden and heard from the centre staff that they closed on bad terms. Would never buy from these again. Bad press follows you everywhere. Be warned!
I had 100 of these lovely cupcakes for my daughters wedding! And I wish them all the luck in their new venture in Bristol
Just popped in there today for some tea and cake with my mum and sister for Mothers day! Was sooo tasty! Man behind the bar was really friendly and welcoming! Tea was lovely also! Nice variety of cakes and nicely presented! I had the caramel one, but I heard the man recommending their red velvet cupcake! Yummy! Will be having another visit soon!
