Florrie

Florrie Arnold is a pop star to keep your eye on in the future. Although as yet unsigned by a label, the Bristol 21-year-old, formally a pupil at Colston’s Girls School, is part of the Xenomania set-up and has played drums on The Promise by Girls Aloud and various tracks by Kylie Minogue and the Pet Shop Boys.

On her official website, where much of her music is available to listen to for free, she is described “as traditional a musician and performer as can possibly be, but at the same time a completely new type of independent pop artist. Florrie’s bold, attention-grabbing pop music is at once robotic and human, chunky and svelte, big on ideas and not shy of explosive choruses.”

Florrie is also currently fronting the advertising campaign for the new Nina Ricci perfume. There is video footage from the launch here on the Xenomania website, with a bit of Florrie speaking in French and her performing a cover of Blondie’s Sunday Girl.
