In cold, wintry weather like this, the Kensington Arms is at its best. Wrap up warm, make your way to Redland, and be welcomed with open arms at the Kenny. Have a mulled wine, a mulled cider, enjoy the food, the fine wines, make yourself at home in one of my favourite pubs in Bristol.
I was there at the weekend for a birthday party in the room upstairs. I knew they served great food, but their finger food was just amazing, especially the mini burgers.
The Kenny is the best kind of gastropub. It is a pub for those who want it to be a pub, and a restaurant for those who want it to be a restaurant. Does that make sense?
There are not many other pubs in Bristol that offer such a warm welcome and I often find myself recommending it as both a place for a quiet drink, or somewhere to enjoy some great food.
So wrap up warm and wander over to Stanley Road. You won’t be disappointed. It is a wonderful pub.
