A leave, a draw, a roar

Mine cannot have been the only office in Bristol with people gathered around a telly or radio watching and listening with shredded nerves to the last few overs of the final day of the third Test between South Africa and England.

Earlier, I had wandered over to the cafe at the Marriot to watch Collingwood and Bell resolutely bat it out. When I returned to the office, wickets started falling and the heart palpitations began.

When the draw came, after an agonising three overs with our number eleven left for the second time in three matches to survive, it was celebrated like a win. Graham Onions you little beauty!
